I Feel Frightened
Throughout childhood, starting school, dentist appointments and scary TV episodes are all common fear-invoking scenarios. “I Feel Frightened” captures these scenarios where children are likely to feel scared or intimidated, yet these situations can turn out to be harmless after all.
Various strategies for coping with childhood fears are suggested throughout the plot, along with a humorous look at some fears our parents might have, like roller-coasters or flying.
Included are suggestions for teachers and parents to engage children in discussion about their fears, and how it is normal to be frightened of some things, while others pose no threat at all. Children are also encourage to think about how they can reassure others in frightening situations.
